Relive the magic of our Christmas Gala with this collection of ten showcase performances. Each dance was created especially for this evening, featuring our students and instructors in classic ballroom, Latin, and holiday-inspired routines.
Two sets of showcases — our first at 8:30 PM, followed by a second at 9:30 PM.
The evening opens with five performances, blending classic ballroom favourites with festive music.
Roxanne & Brad float across the floor in a graceful waltz, with soft rise-and-fall and elegant turns that shimmer under the lights. Their smooth connection and unhurried movement create a warm, romantic atmosphere that perfectly fits the spirit of the gala.
Arlene & Pieter deliver a dramatic tango, with sharp leg lines, crisp pivots, and intense eye contact that pulls the audience into their story. Their powerful shaping and precise staccato accents cut through the music, giving the Christmas gala a bold, unforgettable edge.
Darlene & Vern light up the floor with a playful cha cha, mixing crisp footwork, cheeky hip action, and plenty of personality. Their bright timing and flirty rhythms give the Christmas gala a fun, party-like energy that’s impossible not to smile at.
Amanda & Sal burst onto the floor with a joyful Lindy Hop, full of swinging triples, playful kicks, and carefree partner connection. Their energetic lifts and bouncy rhythms capture the feel of a vintage swing party, getting toes tapping all around the room.
Leanna and Alex light up the floor with a playful hip hop/cha cha fusion, blending sharp hits with smooth cha cha rhythm in a way that feels fresh and fun. Watching our youngest and oldest students dance side by side, their smiles and confidence become the real highlight of the performance.
After a short break, we return with five more performances to close the evening in style.
Arlene and Pieter bring a warm, intimate feel to the floor with their bachata, using smooth body movement and close connection to let the music breathe. Their gentle turns and expressive styling give the dance a cozy, romantic glow that fits the Christmas gala perfectly.
Pamella and Jorge draw the room in with an intimate Argentine tango, marked by deliberate pauses, intricate footwork, and a close, focused connection. Their sharp flicks and soft, gliding walks weave together a quiet intensity that feels both dramatic and deeply romantic.
Michelle and Todd glide through a smooth Nightclub Two Step, using long, flowing movements and gentle sway to wrap the floor in a relaxed, romantic feel. Their easy connection and soft turns make the dance look effortless, like a slow winter love song in motion.
Amanda and Sal sweep through a sparkling Viennese waltz, circling the floor with fast, continuous turns that still feel controlled and effortless. Their flowing rotation and elegant lines give the dance a snow-globe quality, like watching Christmas lights blur softly in motion.
Antonella and Kerion close the night with a bold, high-energy routine to Pink Pony Club, full of attitude, sharp accents, and big, crowd-pleasing moments. Their playful performance, mixing sass, storytelling, and strong musicality, sends everyone home on a joyful, upbeat high.
